This is definitely one of the funniest war movies of all time! Donald Sutherland, who plays a hippie(!) tank commander, seems out of situation in a WW2 setting. However, he had me laughing the whole plot through! I can’t imagine what this film would be like without his hysterical performance. One of my popular scenes is when Sutherland’s three Sherman tanks attack a Nazi railroad place while playing Hank Williams’ music on a loud speaker! I realize that this “WW2 movie” has a determined 70′s feel to it (especially with one of the hit songs of the decade, Burning Bridges), & some don’t like this movie for that reason. I can’t attend but have fun everytime I stare this! The tanks, even the German ones, scrutinize considerable more authentic than those in Patton or The Battle of the Bulge. This is a loyal treat for WW2 tank buffs like me who bask in authenticity. I know the dwelling is hokey, but who cares? If you want to notice a war movie that isn’t depressing (like most) or monotonous then this is for you!

Well, our guy Clint is at it again…he’s after the money and no miniature event like WWII is gonna conclude him. Thirty years before George Clooney led his “Three Kings”(also a lovely film), to acquire a gargantuan salvage in Desert Storm, Lt. Kelly(Eastwood) gathered up his motley crew and stormed Europe for a minute heist of their bear.
The men are tired. They’ve been dodging the blasts not only from the German’s, but from our side as well. They honest want a dinky R&R…maybe, someplace where there’s a small action going on..and not the kind the war has to offer. When Kelly stumbles onto some top secret information, the men catch there second wind. Well you would too if there was millions of gold to be had.He puts together an array of intellectual characters that includes the likes of guys called, “Oddball”,”Crapgame”,”Job”, “Cowboy” and Master Sgt. “Sizable Joe”. These guys jump at the chance to hold home a token of the war. But wait!…the gold is safely tucked away in a guarded bank!…and what’s more..it’s deep tedious enemy lines!.But you don’t those miniature obstacles will discontinuance these guys, do you?

Clint Eastwood, Telly Savalas, Don Rickles, and the world’s first “hippie”..Donald Sutherland will bewitch you on a uncertain but fun and gripping adventure, as they go for the gold. These characters are off the wall and will sustain you smiling. The weapons they employ are not exactly General Vow either. Tanks that play loud music and shoot paintballs are only section of what the Germans at the other raze have in store for them.
Also included are such greats as Carroll O’Connor, the gung-ho General who thinks these guys are out to find the war,Harry Dean Stanton, Gavin MacLeod, and Stuart Margolin. You’ll treasure the music, especially the theme song, and all the action and broad cinematography in the incredible widescreen presentation.
This film from 1970 looks and sounds unbelievable on this DVD. A lovely obvious portray and mammoth sound in DD5.1. When those tanks approach rumbling in..you will know it!It may also be viewed in French(but not in surround sound), and has subtitles in English and French, which are nicely placed below the film in the unlit bar plot. There is also a theatrical trailer.
This is a large Eastwood film,terrific war chronicle, lots of fun, and has a supporting cast on the brink of greatness!…Check it out and ..devour…Laurie

I saw this as the pilot episode of a prison drama series from Australia TV called CORRELLI. It focused on life in prison, mainly viewed from the eyes of a prison psychologist named Louisa Correlli. The whole series was a absorbing and realistic dramatization of various lives of prisoners and the people who administered their penal sentences. Hopefully, the rest of the episodes will also be released on DVD as the entire series is quite obliging.

This first episode marked Hugh Jackman’s first professional appearance, bellow from acting school. Even at that time, Hugh had already shown a range of dramatic talent that will ticket some of his future work, such as his early award-winning role in Erskineville Kings and some of his 2006 film releases ( The Fountain and The Prestige) . To fans of Hugh Jackman, this film is also intelligent because the actress who played the role of Louisa Correlli very effectively is Deborra Lee Furness, now Mrs. Hugh Jackman.
The episode released on this DVD is a compelling drama of prison life and what it does to those affected by such personal tragedies.

Before he was Wolverine, Hugh Jackman appeared in a gritty prison drama on Australian TV called “Correlli”. The Rat Tamer is the first episode of the series to released on DVD.
The Rat Tamer refers to Dr. Louisa Correlli, the fresh psychologist who has recently begun working at Blackstream Prison. Correlli is played by Deborra-Lee Furness, who must have made quite an impression on Hugh because they were married a year later and are peaceful married to this day!
The legend follows Dr. Correlli as she tries to wait on a stupefied prison guard named Costa who’s stressed almost to his limit, as well as a original inmate by the name of Kevin Jones (played by Hugh Jackman) . Jones arrives at Blackstream beaten so badly that is has caused some brain trauma and affected his motor skills. It’s positive that he was somehow assaulted during his transfer, but because of the extent of his injuries, it’s not determined why or how they occured.
At the heart of the yarn is the personal conflict between Jones and Costa. When their paths atrocious, the guard becomes obsessed with the memory of a bad tragedy that happened to his best mate and is fixated on the plan that Jones was somehow eager.
I have “Correlli” is only the second shroud appearance of Hugh Jackman’s career, but his trademark charisma and intensity are already there…and I objective appreciate that Aussie accent! The Rat Tamer is involving and compelling enough to want to gaze the rest of the series…it leaves you wanting more and wondering…what happens next?

I don’t know the reaction of Clive Cussler fans to this film — I don’t know why the author is so aroused about it — but as an ordinary film fan, ‘Sahara’ is mostly luscious, if not outstanding action adventure film. Matthew McCoaughey is a likable esteem hunting hero Dirk Pitt from ‘NUMA’; Steve Zahn is a scene-stealing sidekick (and he is always so) Al Giordino; and Penelope Cruz as a doctor Eva Rojas from WHO, who gets keen with Dirk’s adventures. These premises, together with the hidden gold coins made during the time of the Civil War, sound worthy like ‘National Care For,’ and the comparison is bright because director of ‘Sahara’ is Breck Eisner (‘Taken’) also known as son of Michael Eisner.

But ‘Sahara’ is different from that Nicholas Cage film, and that is the area mostly place in the hot desert of Africa. Dirk, Al, and another NUMA agent Rudi (Rainn Wilson) borrowing a petite boat from Admiral Sandecker (William H. Macy), soar on the river into the desert of Mali, Africa, where he believes a gargantuan US iron-clad ship disappered with gold coins.
At the same time, the film shows us that a deadly plague is killing the people of Mali. So, on the design to the country, Dirk and Al proceed with a shapely doctor Eva, who seeks for the cause of the disease with her senior Dr. Frank (Glynn Turman) . Don’t call it a contrived yarn yet, for ‘Sahara’ is going to salvage more contrived as the team is attacked by the machine-guns, rockets, tanks, and helicopters of the country’s troops, and their wonderful adventures originate.

That’s it, and that’s all I have to say. The film is made with a familiar set-pieces, none of which are particularly imaginative or innovative, but techinically speaking they are pleasing. Action film fans like me might say we have seen the same kind of scenes — like, peeping into the ‘secret’ of one company owner (Lambert Wilson) ; blowing dynamites without using fuse, or foolishly giving our heroes chances to run from the villains who honest don’t deem of killing them instantly. You can site bits from James Bond, bits from Indiana Jones, or bits from any actioners shot in Morocco, the land which provides the astonishing landscapes for the film.
However, in spite of its impossible memoir and lack of chemistry between McConaughey and Cruz (who is miscast, I am alarmed), the whole film goes plesantly enough, with competently done action sequences and authentic images of Africa. Totally unoriginal, but ‘Sahara’ is tranquil fun to peruse.
Another terrific remastered movie, compared to standard definition, this Blu-ray version is nothing short of satisfactory, but once again, the best panel, leads and audio are famous to indulge in this technology.

Now, I gave you the thumbnail sketch of the epic to pick up you to search for when you gawk the moovy, no one can quite retract the upright essence of an Almodovar. You really have to experience his films. Thru out “Matador” (as well as many in his colossal catalog) there are images and insinuations, symbolism and absurdities that are going to stick with you loooong after you’ve viewed the film. The cinematography is stupendous, the mood objective takes you. Initially, there is a disconnected feel, but it speeds up and there are scenes and edits you’re going to rewind to and since it is subtitled in Spanish–unless you yelp the language–you gain yourself rewinding trying to net the dialog, as not to miss something. This is reminescent of the Sharon Stone/Micheal Douglas fragment, and of Cronenberg’s rendition of “Wreck.” Also the absurdity reminds me of whenever “The Sopranos” go for that dismal and humorous thing…
Try an Almodovar this weekend…
This was the first Almodovar film I’d ever seen, and it’s made me a lifelong fan of his. Lately he’s become a bit too serious, overreaching and melodramatic—”Abominable Education” was especially disappointing—in difference to the lively, shapely and hilarious dusky comedy and absurdism of masterpieces like “Matador,” “Tie Me Up Tie Me Down” and “Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown.” It’s the incompatibility between reading Charles Bukowski at his best versus reading some pompous “The Recent Yorker” column.

Unfortunately this film is extremely difficult to fetch nowadays, but it would totally be worth owning and seeing over and over again. Every frame is comely, and the characters are all strangely absorbing in their gain fetching absurd ways. The cast is perfectly chosen and directed, and the young pre-Hollywood Antonio Banderas is truly a pleasure to behold, his earnest absurdity has an inherent amusing genius similar to that of Dustin Hoffman in “The Graduate”…you laugh your @ss off at him all the time but at the same time score it impossible not to like and identify with him. The characters like the film have an exhilaratingly original, devil may care energy and abandon that is simply irresistible.
Granted, if you are a rigidly primitive, straight-laced person you’ll probably obtain Almodovar’s early work very hard to swallow. The rest of us will likely secure it far marvelous to his new day output.

I have been a teacher for a long time and am very impressed by the methods stale to serve children memorize the behold words. In regard to the parent who states her 5 year old-fashioned can’t stand to search for it anymore I reflect it is all in how you show it. With my 4 year veteran I first previewed the video alone —wanted to know how humdrum it might be and how I would note it to my son. Once I figured out the format I decided to opinion the dvd with my son each time and bounced him on my lap and clapped and smiled a lot. He loved the time together and my reactions and therefore liked the dvd. I also achieve the words on flash cards and gave him a flyswatter to swat the eye words on the table and made a lot of other games with these words. We look it three times a day and I am careful to witness him for signs of boredom and 99% of the time I recognize with him and serve him. I tried to limit him to two lessons per viewing but he insists on watching at least 4 each time. This is essential to me and my son feels that, so it has become valuable to him. For those of you who have kids who are easily bored and distracted inspect the dvd with them and invest the time. After 4 days my son learned all 23 words! As a last ditch anxiety a minute rewarding for viewing and or learning words such as stickers, gummy bears or art activity can befriend. That being said I do not mediate the dvd tiresome and am delighted with the droll pictures and scenes they invent for each word. My son loves it!

The DVD was a must examine…very well done…it will believe your attention. The pictures were awesome and mind blowing. I really enjoyed it and found things I did not know the third time I watched it. I will order more of these DVDs.

Although I have nothing against porn, I’ve never really been into it either; so when my boyfriend brought this movie home for us to leer, I wasn’t keen. However, he insisted that it was recommended as being “very humorous” so I finally caved and agreed to scrutinize with him. I am so gratified that I did cave.

Within ten minutes, I was crooked. Evan Stone (the lead male) carries the movie out of ridiculous porno dialogue and into legal comedy. His humor is cheeky and risque without being ribald. Steven St. Croix also does a astonishing job of portraying a parody of a macho male–chauvinistic one cramped and crying in fetal dwelling the next.
Of the female actresses, Shay Jordan made me giggle with her over-the-top antics, and Katsuni gave a performance that I could have sworn was by a Hollywood actress. Jesse Jane (the leading lady) played her section with tongue-in-cheek awareness, which I appreciated. And if nothing else, the women in this movie are astronomically hot.

After seeing this, I purchased the rated X version, which is even funnier. This movie helped me originate up a unique genre of entertainment, and I hope that Digital Playground continues to save out Blockbuster adult movies like this one.
Let’s face it, the odds are, if you’re going to be watching a movie like this with actors like these, you’re probably in the mood for some sort of raunchy fun. Rated R? Sparkling this was originally released as an X Rated adult movie, I was surprised to eye it on Amazon — until I saw the rating. I had to write a review and a recommendation.
The movies, “Pirates” and “Stagnetti’s Revenge” are actually very well done in a very tongue in cheek manner. As suitable as you’ll view for Adult movies. My wife and I watched the first one on BluRay and were very entertained and laughed quite a bit as the movie rolled on. We (eventually) made it to the demolish honest to literally gape how the outcome. Pardon the pun.
If you’re looking for the X rated version, go to a spot called DVDEMPIRE (dot com) and order it. The BluRay versions are well worth the ~$[...].
The actors, scenes and quality and clarity of the video are very hot, very droll and thoroughly interesting. Bask In!
